Giving to the JDRF Center of Excellence at the University of Michigan

Our Vision

The JDRF Center of Excellence at the University of Michigan was launched to yield safer day-to-day diabetes management and improved health for persons with Type 1 diabetes (T1D). Michigan Medicine’s partnership with JDRF strengthens our research enterprise and provides clinicians, scientists and innovators at both institutions an opportunity to cross collaborate and share discoveries, harnessing the power of expertise at the University of Michigan. But it also takes philanthropic resources reach our goals. We depend on private contributions from individuals who share our passion; your support today can bring us closer to finding a cure for T1D and its complications.

Become a Victor

Your gift to the JDRF Center of Excellence at the University of Michigan supports high stakes research that will accelerate discovery. The center will focus on both curing T1D and helping those with the disease live healthy lives until cures are found. It will accelerate the Elizabeth Weiser Caswell Institute’s advanced expertise in the biology of beta cells that create insulin, aiming to drive cures for T1D. It also will build on existing research on the human metabolism, aiming to address life-threatening T1D complications, including psychosocial issues.
