Our Vision
The Elizabeth Weiser Caswell Diabetes Institute was established to centralize and coordinate campus resources — anchored by a group of more than 250 world-renowned, dynamic researchers in diabetes, diabetic complications, obesity, and metabolism — and allow the University of Michigan to bring new depth and discovery to the quest for answers to diabetes. But we need your help. Philanthropic contributions from individuals and families can support research, education, and patient care that propels our understanding of diabetes and metabolic disorders and brings us closer to a cure.
Become a Victor
Your gift to the Elizabeth Weiser Caswell Diabetes Institute supports high stakes research that will accelerate discovery. Your gift will bring us closer to understanding the nature of autoimmunity and help us discover methods that will prevent or block it if we are to protect new insulin-producing beta cells to reverse autoimmune T1D and to treat other debilitating autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune thyroid disease, and celiac disease.
