Giving to the Department of Internal Medicine

Our Vision

The U-M Department of Internal Medicine is home to 12 specialties in which faculty members are known for their world-class treatment of serious disease as well as for their remarkable work in primary care and prevention. Clinicians and researchers address a multitude of health concerns as they care for patients, advance lifesaving research, and train tomorrow’s clinical and scientific leaders.

You can make a critical difference in the progress we are able to achieve. Philanthropic donations help us propel medicine forward — for our patients and for people around the world. The generosity of our friends, alumni, and patients and their families has enabled us to initiate new research projects and attract top-notch physicians and scientists. Together, we can continue to foster scientific breakthroughs and discoveries in our 12 divisions:

  • Allergy and Clinical Immunology
  • Cardiovascular Medicine
  • Gastroenterology
  • General Medicine
  • Geriatric and Palliative Medicine
  • Hematology and Oncology
  • Infectious Diseases
  • Metabolism, Endocrinology & Diabetes
  • Molecular Medicine & Genetics
  • Nephrology
  • Pulmonary and Critical Care
  • Rheumatology
